The Manchester weather could not dampen the spirits of Sale Harriers who attended the end of season bar-b-que at Crossford Bridge on thursday the 19th August 2010.

The evening commenced with a 5 mile handicapped run along the banks of the River Mersey and despite the rain it was a very pleasant evening run. I'm sure we will encounter much worse weather than that over the course of the cross country season. Results of this run will be available later.

After a quick shower and change in the clubhouse we all gathered upstairs for an evening of fine food and great conversation (not necessarily about running). The spirit of a true British bar b que was captured but without the smoke or insects.

Many thanks to all those who helped to make the evening such a sucess. Paul Barrett, Cat Jones, Jenny Miles, Naomi Grant, Dave Rogers, Jason Bowers, Gaz and anyone else who gave up time and energy for a great Sale Harriers social event.
