On possibly the hottest day of the summer and one a busy one for
races, it's no wonder only four green-hooped vests turned out for
the undulating Lymn 5k, the final race of five in the North
Cheshire Series. The undulations and heat meant than all four
recorded their slowest times of the series.
MV45 Gary Rowlinson (17:23) was the club's 'Man
of the Match' through the series. He finished in the top two for
the club in every race and his times were his best for years. It's
been a good series for Gary! M45 Gary Willcock
(19.09) was the next to be down on his times and Tim Brett
(20:05) was also a minute slower than at Dunham Massey
(1). Ian Witham (25:45) also was a victim of
unfavourable conditions. Roll on .........THE
