Tim Kennedy recorded his latest PB in June's
Potteries Arf Marathon - 77 min 22s!Although he was 6th overall, he
was 4th Senior Man and won £50 of Asics vouchers. It was a PB by
ninety seconds, but "I swear it must one of the toughest hilliest
courses around" he said. Two long incredibly steep hills at 4.5
miles and 11 miles and loads of others through the race meant his
time must be worth 2/3 minutes faster on a "flat"course!
Meanwhile ultra-distance maestro Tim Rainey
scraped a pb by 20 seconds in The Boddington 50k crossing the line
in 3 hours 54 minutes 38 seconds. He also finished 19th of 49
runners and 3rd vet. Twenty three of those went on to complete the
full 100km. "It's just a warm-up for running twice as fast in
September" he said.In June Steffan Schunacher finished 3rd MV50 ina
11k in Berlin whilst attending a conference.
