SPORTCITY

The Club has benefited greatly from the legacy of the 2002 Commonwealth Games and has the benefit of the outdoor track (with seating for 6000 spectators), the indoor 200m track and the field event facilities at the Sportcity complex in East Manchester at Rowsley Street, M11 3FF   (map)

Since work was completed there during the summer 2004 a number of major events and Championships have been held Sportcity - AAA Senior Championships, Domestic Challenge Final, Paralympic World Cup and under 23 International events among many others. The Club also stages a number of indoor and outdoor Open Meetings at Sportcity.

TRAINING

A wide number of training sessions take place at Sportcity - middle distance, sprints, hurdles, pole vault, high jump, triple jump, long jump, shot/discus, and combined events. Most are under the supervision of different coaches so, if you'd like further information, the simplest advice is to ask you to contact any one of the coaches on the 'Training' menu related to your discipline. That person will direct you as necessary.
