Two club coaches were recently honoured in the NW Regional
Awards. Congratulations to Ann & Graham
Marshall who won the award for Service to volunteering.
Ann and Graham have led Sale Harriers Primary Section with over 65
years coaching between them.

In those years, they have developed pathways to performance for
all children at the Crossford Bridge base and have engaged hundreds
of parents to assist in the scheme they developed. They have also
been the leaders of the Startrack scheme which was first introduced
in 1992 and still goes strong every summer holiday time and they've
extended the programme opening opportunities across the
Manchester Athletics Network
Norman Poole won the award for services to coaching.
Norman has coached many top middle distance athletes over a long
career to commonwealth & Olympic standards, such as Diane
Modahl, Ann Griffiths and Kevin Mc Kay. More recently, his success
has taken the form of Tom Lancashire and Mike rimmer. Norman has
extensive events knowledge across 800m to 5000m and he commits to
passing on his knowledge and skills, invests in mentoring others
an, as president of the british Milers club, is a regular
contributor to BMC coaching events and activities.
