The 4 Villages is a very popular half marathon which quickly
reached its entry limit with 1621 finishers. The start was quite
congested but on a windy day that was a good thing providing plenty
of moving wind breaks to follow and there were some impressive
results despite the adverse conditions. 
First back for Sale Harriers was Pete Crawford
in 1:17:32 and 22nd overall. Followed by John Mosley
(1:19:13) and Chris Heyes (1:27:59), very
pleased with his time after so long out injured. Timothy
Rainey in 1:35:57, (almost exactly 10 minutes slower than
pb). First lady back for Sale was Louise Robbins
with a fantastic PB of 1:37:06. Mike Wharton did
1:38:08 followed by Jerry Smith, 1:39:41 who'd
paced Zoe Gmerek round to 1:39:53 in her first
half marathon. Carla Ousey improved ran 1:42:33
her 2nd best time ever. John Battersby struggled
in the later stages after being injured a few weeks ago, running
1:43:42. Newcomer Kimberley Wilson entered under her old club
Liverpool RC, she did 1'44'46. Miran Aprahamian did 1:52:28; Diane
Hennigan enjoyed her 2:05:42 and Jenny Miles PB'd by 7 minutes in
2:05:47.
