At the weekend's NW Schools Championships the Sale Harriers youngsters claimed one individual victory and in two other age-groups and completed several runners in the top ten.

Ciara Lydon (Loreto Grammar) won the junior girls with Francesca Brint (Altrincham Grammar) third, Claudia Cowan 6^th (Loreto Grammar) and Alice Bruce (Altrincham Grammar) 7^th .These were great runs all the more so that Francesca and Claudia were running a year young.

In the inter-girls age-group, the club had Catherine Podmore finish 2^nd and Hannah Simeen 6^th, representing Altrincham Grammar. Caithlin Thomas (Loreto Grammar) was 9^th and Rachael Hibberd 10^th (Ashton-on-Mersey School). Again, congratulations to these girls on super runs. As a result of these youngsters' performances, three Trafford Schools will now go forward to the National Final in Rugby on December 3^rd.

In the junior boys we had Andre Yiasuomi (Manchester Grammar) 8th and Joe Hammond (Ashton-on-Mersey) 12^th.
