Uk Women’s Athletic League.
The second fixture of the UK Women's Premier League season held at Windsor was not a too happy occasion, with injuries and late withdrawals hitting the team badly. However there were many highlights, such as Katie Byres winning with a 4m 10cm clearance, which then allows her to focus her mind entirely towards the World Juniors to be held in Barcelona later this month. Emma Perkins 1m 80cm high jump into a headwind was a feature, as was Kirsty Law's 53m 42cm Discus 2nd spot. Kirsty along with Alison Rodger contested 3 throw events with distinction, and Rosie Semenytsh contributed her usual solid javelin throw. Katherine Endacott 11.76secs and 23.64s doubled in the sprints and was happy with her performance, as was Lucy Evans competing in the 'B' races recording 11.97s and 24.07s respectively. Jenna Hill contributed a fine 2m 11.81s 800 metres, and what a welcome sight once again to see Louise Whittaker flowing along in the 3000m for a fine second place in 9m 34.49s. Holly Belch's return to competition after 18 months ran splendidly in both hurdles events. Also Windsor was the scene for debutants, Jasmine Burke ( hammer), Samara Mohtasham (PV) and a very busy Lauren Bowen ( LJ,HJ and TJ) all contributing valuable points.
