The 114th Annual General Meeting took place at Crossford Bridge on Thursday the 19th March 2026. The meeting was well attended and marked the end of a memorable year at Sale Harriers Manchester. The outgoing president David Brown CBE handed over the mantel of president to the new incumbant, Brian Goulden. Brian is a popular and committed Sale Harrier and you can read more on his ‘Life Members’ page. Here.
On another positive note Frank Cordingley our current Honorary Secretary was awarded our highest honour of Life Member. This award was presented on the night by our esteemed chairman, David Brown CBE. Coach Keith Hunter was also awarded life membership and his award will be presented at a later date. Well done both.

The minutes of the 113th AGM were presented and accepted as a true and accurate account of last year’s meeting. A financial report for the year 2025 was submitted and discussed. The finacial position of the club is good with many of our fund raising events breaking previous records. The club is non profit making and this year looks set to be as good as last year.
A brief summary of the relative success and failures of our Sale Harriers Manchester teams during spring, summer and winter of last year was presented, which can be viewed in a previous ‘latest news’ page.
The Executive committee was voted in ‘en block’ with David Brown CBE continuing as chair joined by Kevin McKay as vice chair, James Frost as financial officer and Frank Cordingley as Honorary Secretary.
The auditor was Peter Shipley and we offer huge thanks to him for continuing to do this.
The chairman closed the meeting by thanking everyone who contributes to the success of Sale Harriers Manchester including coaches, officials, team managers and other background contributors, too many to mention.
