Relays
British Masters Road Relays
This event usually takes place in May and we enter Male and Female teams in 10-year age categories (35 years +). The course is usually a 5K route with the following categories:
- W35, M45 (4 stage)
- W45, W55, W65, W75+, M55, M65, M75+ (3 stage)
- M35 (6 stage)
Our W35 team won silver in 2022, W45 team silver in 2024 and W35 team bronze in 2025. Our M35 team won bronze in 2025.
British Masters Cross Country Relays
This event is traditionally held on the last Saturday in October at West Park, Long Eaton. The course is a flat and fast 3K and 2024 was our most successful year yet. As with the road relays, teams are in 10-year age categories as follows:
- W35, W45, W55, W65, M65, M75+ (3 stage)
- M35, M45 (5 stage)
- M55 (4 stage)
We won W45 team silver in 2022, W45 team bronze and M35 team gold in 2024

Manchester Area Cross Country League
Our male and female teams regularly top the veteran team results in the Manchester Area Cross Country league.
England Age Masters
England Athletics recognises that a significant amount of the membership of road running clubs is made up of runners aged over thirty-five years. The Age Group Masters competition programme recognises and rewards the significant contribution that these runners make to our sport. Many individual members of Sale Harriers have represented England Age Masters in distances from 5K, 10K, half and full marathon.
