NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE - HULL
The club’s senior men and women made the long journey to Hull to launch their 2015 T & F season. They were welcomed by incessant rain which forced the pole vault indoors but eventually the day ended in sunny but blustery weather.
The club sprinters were to the fore, with Danny Heald an impressive winner of the 200m. Strong wind curtailed any personal best hopes, but Nyef Iman, Dominic Sebele, Lamiko Thomas, Kobefo Ntabejane and Tom Gerrard demonstrated the club’s speed prowess
Josh Orguntayo and Alan White had good 800m runs with Alan recording a PB of 2m 00.2s.
John Nichols ( 13m 66 shot), Stephen Porter (57m 66s Jav) Kevin Metzger ( 14m 24cm TJ) Zach Harrop ( 4m 10cm PV) all recorded ‘A’ victories. Aimee Pratt ran a good 800m; Amy Williams recorded a5m 38cm long jump victories plus Jasmine Burke competing in four throwing events, led a depleted women’s team.
The team finished a disappointing 5th. Kingston-on-Hull won the match with Blackburn 2nd and Wakefield 3rd.
A much stronger team is required at Blackburn on Sat June 6th.
