October the 25th 2025 was a fabulous & successful day at the British Masters XC Relays held at Long Eaton near Nottingham. Sale Harriers had a really strong presence with 5 complete ladies teams and a men’s M35 team, winning medals in 3 age categories –
W35 Team Laura Barber, Jess Welsh & Rachael Rozhdestvenskaya,
W45 Team Helen Armitage, Anne Chinoy, Harriet Hamilton,
W55 Team Jackie Cordingley, Lynda Rowlinson, Helen Reagan.
Individual fast times medals were also awarded to Rachael Rozhdestvenskaya W35 (bronze), and Jackie Cordingley W55 (silver).
Our W35 B team were 8/16 & 1st B team Sarah Goulden, Suzanne Smith & Belinda Hammond, and our W45 B team Cat Jones, birthday girl Carla Ousey & Sinead Roche were 3rd B team.
At one stage it looked like we would struggle to get a men’s team together (5 stages). However, ladies team husbands Dima Roz, Hector Chinoy & RichardOusey all stepped up to join Joshua Andrew & Tim Kennedy in the M35 Team. A fiercely competitive race, Joshua got off to a great start in 6th place, and they finished in a very respectable 14th out of22 teams.
