The club warmly congratulates them! Having both joined Sale Harriers at the age of 13, Jona and Success embody the spirit of dedication and excellence that the club is immensely proud of.
This will be Jona’s third World Championships. His international journey began at the 2017 World U20 Championships in Indonesia, where he claimed 200m Gold. He then went on to win 4 x 100m Bronze at the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, USA.
For Success, this marks her World Championships debut. Still only 22 and balancing her studies in midwifery with elite sport, she is rapidly emerging as a star on the world stage. Most recently in July she was crowned the U23 European 200m Champion, her 1st individual Gold medal in a sensational victory. The following day in the 4 x 100m, renowned for her strength and speed, she took her GB quartet from fourth to first, anchoring the GB & NI team to Gold in a championship record time of 42.92.
