Sale Harriers improved its previous match scores to finish runners-up to Liverpool and are now 2nd in the league with one match to go.
Our star athlete was newcomer JASON ADELAKUN who won three individual events and teamed up with LEO OGBEIDE, MAXIME SARTHOU and THIERRY KERR to finish 2nd in the relay with the same time as winners Liverpool. Jason ran 36.8 in his debut 300m which ranks 10th in the country and very close to breaking the club record. THIERRY KERR won the hurdles and was 2nd in the 200m with top ranked Level 9 performances in both events. LEO OGBEIDE took part in four events recording excellent performances in all four. JOSEPH CONNOLLY finished runner-up in the javelin, and with ADAM CORRY-WILSON took part in three throwing events each. OLIVER HOWELL showed tremendous stamina in taking part in three of the longer running events.
Our top performing U15 events was NEILA CHUKWU who took part in four events including a win over 100m in 12.4 seconds which ranked her as the 4th best performance by any athlete in the match.
