Track and Field Qualifications

The club desperately needs T & F Officials for its summer matches. If you're a parent with a son or daughter competing in the summer YDL (Upper), YDL (Lower) or the Northern League, or just someone willing to give up some time for the club, would you seriously consider becoming a T & F Official?

Every club has to provide a quota of officials for every match and qualified officials get many more points than unqualified and these go towards the team's overall score. By becoming an official you can actually help your son/daughter's team to win their matches...far better than sitting in the stands waiting for them. The tasks involved are extremely simple but necessary like helping to rake the sand-pit, replace the pole-vault bar, retrieve the shot, hammer or javelin or simply spike where these land....and you're on the in-field amidst all the action!

If you're a senior, competing in the National League or the Northern League, again why not also be a club/team asset by becoming a T & F Official when you're not competing.

To make the training accessible, the club has organised an in-house course at Crossford Bridge on the 24/25 February. It's extremely simple and straightforward and achieves the Level 1 qualification.

If you'd like to do this simple but important course and be a club and team asset but the dates are unsuitable, please let us know as there are other online courses available that may suit better.

The courses are as follows:

Track qualification- Crossford Bridge- Saturday 24th Feb- 12-3pm

Field qualification- Crossford Bridge- Sunday 25th Feb- 10am-3pm

If you would like to attend either one or both, please can you email Paul Barrett (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by Sunday 11th Feb with which course you would like to attend. Courses are free.

Thanks
